My latest obsession is combiming a few of my favorite things: illustration, lettering, and sign painting. This is the first in a series of custom-painted and framed pieces. The hardest part was painting the "cold beer" backwards on the reverse side of the glass. All in all I'm quite happy with how it turned out and it's now available in the shop!
I was commissioned by a Kansas City advertising agency to paint a 15 foot lettering mural on an interior window. This was my first actual sign painting gig. Many lessons were learned, but the client was quite satisfied with the final result!

I designed a custom letterpress thank you note for my wife as a Chanukah gift. this is a look at the early stages of vectoring. After some refining I got a batch pressed by a friend and my wife adored her custom gift!
In the fall of 2016 I had the pleasure of participating in the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride in Kansas City. To commemorate this event, which raises funds to benefit those affected by suicide and men's health issues, I hand painted a vintage motorcycle helmet. This was special to me as my family has personally been hurt by suicide more than once. I rode in memory of my grandfather.
The wife and I visited the Amalfi Coast of Italy last year and had a ball touring Positano. It's amazing how beautiful it is even during the off season. Such wonderful people and sites.
There's no place quite like NOLA. I visited for the first time in 2016 and ate my way through town. Such a special city with some of the friendliest and more resilient people I've encountered.
The Chrysler Building has got to be the grandest peak in all of Manhattan. I mean, just look at it.
The Royals were crowned 2015 World Series Champions, ending a 30-year drought. Kansas City went wild with Postseason passion that fall and it was a really special time to be a Royals fan.
After the Royals won the 2015 World Series I commemorated the event with a custom pennant (a few are still available in the shop). Custom bat maker Mitchell Bat Co. in Nashville, TN nabbed a few of my pennants and packaged them for sale with bats.
